Saturday & Sunday, April 3/arrive 1pm & April 4/depart 6pm - Funchal, Madeira

The beautiful Portugese island of Madeira lies off the north coast of Africa and is full of treasures to explore.

Docking in the heart of Funchal, the capital city, you can explore the old town on your own for shopping, wine tasting and great restaurants or take an excursion to explore more of the island.

INCLUDED EXCURSION ON APRIL 4 - Today our group will have an exclusive full day excursion around the island.

We'll begin our journey from Funchal with a scenic drive to Serra d'Agua,
a lush valley nestled at the heart of Madeira, where we venture offroad, offering you breathtaking views of the island’s north, including vistas of Porto Moniz, Ribeira da Janela, Paúl da Serra, and São Vicente.

Next, we'll be immersed in the island's rich wine culture with a visit to
one of Madeira's top wine producers. Enjoy a guided tour of the largest vineyards. Your experience will be enhanced with a wine tasting session, sampling a variety of exquisite wines, including one rosé, three whites, and two reds, all while receiving expert commentary on the unique characteristics of each wine.

Following this delightful introduction to Madeira's wine heritage, indulge in a traditional lunch at a charming Madeiran restaurant, where you can savor the island’s authentic flavors.

After lunch, we head to one of the island's most iconic destinations, Cabo Girão, the highest cliff in Europe and the second-highest in the world, standing at 580 meters (1,900 feet). Walk along its famous suspended glassfloor viewpoint, offering spectacular panoramic views over the Atlantic Ocean, Câmara de Lobos, and Funchal below—a thrilling
highlight of the tour.

The adventure concludes in the charming fishing village of Câmara de Lobos, where you'll visit a local Madeira Wine Lodge. Here, you'll enjoy tastings of some of Madeira's finest wines, including a selection of sweet and dry varieties, aged from 3 to 15 years.

Tuesday, Aril 6 - Lisbon, Portugal

We arrive in Lisbon first thing in the morning where you can arrange a transport to the airport for your flight home.
