Friday, August 14 - Overnight Flight to Dublin

Saturday, August 15 - Dublin, Ireland

After your arrival in Dublin, a group transfer will take you to your hotel where you'll have time to relax before the first tour.

Your tour departs from your hotel at 2:00 PM for a panoramic tour of Dublin, seeing such sights as elegant Georgian townhouses, St Stephen’s Green and the River Liffey. Visit the Pearse Lyons Distillery, Dublin’s only independent, family-owned distillery, in the former St James’s Church in the Liberties.

Taste the whiskey and hear tales dating back to the 12th century as you tour this lovingly restored church. Enjoy a welcome drink with your group and then head to a Welcome Dinner at a local pub.

Sunday, August 16 - St. Patrick, the Ulster Folk Museum & Belfast, Northern Ireland (UK)

After breakfast and check out, we'll start our journey north to Belfast. On the way, we'll visit Down Cathedral where St Patrick’s historical burial site is marked by a huge boulder. Immerse yourself in his work, life, and times in the nearby St Patrick Centre.

Next, we'll continue north and take time to explore open-air exhibits and see craft demonstrations at the Ulster Folk Museum, which showcases traditional heritage.

Head to central Belfast for time to relax before dinner at your hotel.

Monday, August 17 - Belfast, Northern Ireland (UK)

This morning after breakfast we'll take a short bus ride to tour central Belfast to see Victorian buildings, the imposing City Hall in Donegall Square, and the shipyards where RMS Titanic was built in 1912.

Next we'll visit Titanic Belfast Museum to learn about the ill-fated liner that was built on the site.

In the afternoon, we'll join a local guide for a walking tour of Belfast before spending time on your own and dinner at your leisure.

Tuesday, August 18 - Giant's Causeway & Derry, Northern Ireland (UK)

Today after breakfast and check out, we'll drive north along the Nine Glens of Antrim for views of mountains, valleys, and coastline. This scenic region is one of the locations for “Game of Thrones.”

After a stop for photos at the ruins of Dunluce Castle we'll go on to explore the Giant’s Causeway and its enormous hexagonal columns formed by volcanic activity 60 million years ago.

We travel on to Derry to join a local guide for a short walking tour around the defensive walls that encircle the compact old city. You'll learn the history of the city and its part in the "troubles".

We'll end our day with a visit to the Walled City Brewery for dinner and a flight of their craft beers.

Wednesday, August 19 - Donegal & Westport, Ireland

After breakfast and check out, we'll travel through the rugged countryside of Donegal, renowned for heathery hills, sheep and the many tweeds made from their wool. We'll visit Triona Design in Ardara, for a demonstration of hand weaving and the opportunity to purchase woolen items where they are made.

Next we'll drive around Donegal Bay and through Counties Sligo and Mayo. We'll arrive in Westport and take a walking tour of historic town with a local guide, stopping in a pub for a drink.

Tonight you'll enjoy dinner at your hotel.

Thursday, August 20 - Sheepdog Demonstation & Kylemore Abbey

After breakfast we will head off to enjoy views of the pilgrimage mountain of Croagh Patrick and visit the beautiful town of Leenane.

We'll watch skilled dogs herd sheep at a local farm and view Killary Harbor, Ireland’s only fjord, then travel through scenic Connemara to visit Kylemore Abbey, a romantic castle set beside a tranquil lake. See its elegant rooms, the charming chapel, and the Victorian Walled Garden.

We spend the rest of the afternoon and evening enjoying the lively town of Westport at your leisure. The Cobbler's Bar at the Wyatt Hotel usually hosts Traditional Irish music on Thursday evenings.

Friday, August 21 - Galway, the Cliffs of Moher & Limerick, Ireland

After breakfast and check out, we'll travel to Galway for free time to explore the heart of this vibrant city, with its street musicians, cafés, and medieval streetscape, just a taste before our last night here.

Next we'll visit the iconic Cliffs of Moher, soaring 700 feet above the Atlantic. Enjoy the sea air, the views and the visitor's center.

We'll spend the evening in an authentic castle enjoying a medieval-style banquet with entertainment.

Saturday, August 22 - Galway

After breakfast and check out, we'll take our private coach up to Galway where we'll spend our last day and night in this fun town. Wander the streets listening for traditional Irish music, take a walk along the waterfront and enjoy the culture of the city.

We'll enjoy a Farewell Dinner with Traditional Irish Music to end our tour in style!

Sunday, August 23 - Flight Home

We will have one transfer from the hotel to the Shannon airport for flights home, time TBD.
