All they could think of was Tahiti, the beautiful photos they had seen of the over the water bungalows. What I heard when I started asking about their hobbies and interests is that they were VERY active people. Tahiti is gorgeous and a very RELAXING vacation, not necessarily perfect for an active couple. I advised an alternative that offered numerous adventurous options and they realized that they had been too focused on only one aspect of their Honeymoon. They had a great time and came back to thank me for making that suggestion.

2.      You don’t have time to sit on hold with the resort/cruise line/airline to get your questions answered. That’s often how I help my clients the most, is taking that burden off their plate. Even for something as simple as a dining reservation, if you are calling at a busy time of year, wait times can exceed half an hour. That’s part of my service to you, I’ll sit on hold to get your answers.
3.       You may need to make changes to your reservations and that can be both time consuming and confusing. Changes are not always simple, even when they seem like they should be. Recently I had to re-book clients on a different river cruise itinerary 5 days before they were traveling and many obstacles came up. The process started on a Friday, we found space on the new cruise, but then the air department couldn’t find flights. They wanted to have the funds transferred from their original booking to the new booking, but the accounting department doesn’t work on weekends. It was my job to keep making the phone calls and guaranteeing that my clients got the cruise, air, transfers and insurance that they needed for the new itinerary in a short period of time.
4.       You need to make sure that the Travel Protection Insurance you purchase covers you for your particular needs. I’m licensed to sell this type of insurance and can help you understand what you are protected for. I can make changes to existing policies if your trip details change to guarantee continued coverage. I had a client book a trip that she really wanted to take, but was looking at the possibility of a career change with unknown timing. I recommended purchasing the insurance that would cover work related cancellations, so that when her job did change and she couldn’t travel, she was covered and reimbursed.

All of my clients receive a letter with their Travel Documents that tells them how to check in online for their airline reservations, what the baggage restrictions are for their particular airline and other tips for the destinations that they’re traveling to. 6.       You had a problem during your vacation but didn’t get satisfactory results when you placed a complaint. I am here to advocate for my clients, before, during and after you travel. I am happy to take up your cause and contact whoever I can to get the results that make you happy. When a client came home from her trip to Paris where we had booked her private airport transfers, she was quite annoyed that she had to wait a half an hour for the driver to arrive. I apologized, called my supplier to explain the problem and she was reimbursed in full for that transfer.
